George Wolkow’s Winston-Salem Dash fall 6-5 to Hub City Spartanburgers in MiLB matchup

At 7:05 p.m. on Friday, June 26, George Wolkow, a standout alumnus of Downers Grove North High School, and his current team, the Winston-Salem Dash, were defeated 6-5 by the Hub City Spartanburgers in Minor League Baseball play.

The matchup was held at Fifth Third Park and marked the 16th game between the two teams this season, with the Dash maintaining a 9-7 lead in the season series versus the Spartanburgers.

Wolkow posted a 1-for-4 performance, tallying 2 RBIs, 1 walk, 1 strikeout and leaving 1 runner stranded.

The Dash are set to face the Spartanburgers again on Saturday, June 27, at Fifth Third Park.
