Illinois State House District 81 issued the following announcement on July 30
I’m proud to be a Chief co-sponsor on HB2135, which ended the statute of limitations on criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual assault, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
As of Jan 1st, 2020, arbitrary rules about when a person would have needed to report these crimes to police will no longer exist; justice can be pursued at any time.
