Glen Ellyn has announced its recommended trick-or-treat hours for Halloween. Residents are encouraged to participate in trick-or-treating from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 31.

Several community events are scheduled in the days leading up to Halloween. The Park District will host the Ackerman Haunted Trail at Ackerman Park from 6 to 9 p.m. on October 23 and 24. On October 25, two events will take place: the Boo Bash at Ackerman Park from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and the Halloween Festival & Parade in downtown Glen Ellyn from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Other activities include the Glen Ellyn Witches Ride at 4 p.m. on October 26 and the Pumpkins on Main Carving Contest at the Main Street Recreation Center from October 27 to 31. The Park District will also hold a Trunk or Treat event at the Main Street Recreation Center on October 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. and the Tween Hallow’s Eve Dance at Lake Ellyn Boathouse on October 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
