The Village of Westmont has initiated the process of updating its strategic plan, following approval by the Village Board to contract CP2 Consulting for assistance. The new plan aims to establish future goals and priorities for the community.

Mayor Steve Nero commented on the timing of the update, stating, "With our new Village Board members, as well as new staff in key positions, now is the perfect time for us to update our Strategic Plan. Of course, with something as important as this, we will be seeking public engagement and asking our citizens to get involved. The first step is to invite everyone to complete the new community survey, which will be launched this week." CP2 Consulting will guide the strategic planning process.

Residents are encouraged to participate in a community survey designed to gather input that will inform the development of the strategic plan. The survey can be accessed online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/westmont.

In addition to the survey, the Village plans to form several focus groups composed of community members representing various demographics, such as business owners, senior citizens, and families with school-aged children. Those interested in joining a focus group can sign up through a provided form.
