Four CCIW women’s lacrosse teams earn IWLCA academic honors

Augustana, Carroll, Illinois Wesleyan, and North Central have been recognized by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for their academic performance during the 2024-25 academic year. The IWLCA named these four College Conference of Wisconsin and Illinois (CCIW) institutions among 376 schools across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA as Academic Honor Squads.

To receive this recognition, teams were required to achieve a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.2 for the academic year.

Additionally, the CCIW had 22 student-athletes named to the 2024-25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. This honor roll included 1,289 players from 203 different institutions. Eligibility for the honor roll was limited to juniors, seniors, or graduate students who maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.

The following athletes were recognized:

From Augustana: Lanie DaSilva, Grace Danek, and Rachel Wylie.

From Carroll: Grace Brockman, Rebecca Hallman, Samantha Hurd, Emma Kimps, Teah Rupp, Sierra Skack, and Grace Tumilty.

From Illinois Wesleyan: Mia Fiandaca, Carleigh Fountain, Sarah Riepe, and Avery Setzler.

From North Central: Lucy Culig, Hanna Dahlk, Ellie Gosselin, Victoria Leonard, Abby MacKenzie, Annelise Oster, Zoe Palm, and Taylor Smith.

Maureen Harty Executive Director of the CCIW said in a statement: "We are proud of our student-athletes’ commitment to both academic excellence and athletic achievement. Their hard work is reflected in these honors."
