Eleven men’s golf student-athletes from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) have been selected for the 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars list for Division III. The announcement, made Tuesday, highlights the academic and athletic achievements of players from Illinois Wesleyan, Millikin, and North Central.
Illinois Wesleyan led with five honorees, making it one of only four Division III teams to reach that number. The IWU recipients are Juney Bai, Quinn Clifford, Aidan Healy, Griffin Pohl, and Michael Spitzer. From Millikin, Jack Bollinger, Luke Bradley, and Virgile Gruny were recognized. North Central’s honorees include Brendan Joy, Zachary Lunde, and Bradford Cole Martin.
The selection process for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar list requires candidates to be sophomores, juniors or seniors both academically and athletically in NCAA Divisions I, II, III or NAIA programs. Those in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA are also eligible if they are receiving an associate’s degree. Additional requirements include participation in at least 50% of their team’s competitive rounds, maintaining a stroke average below 79.0 in NCAA Division III play, and holding a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. Recipients must also demonstrate high moral character and remain in good standing at their respective institutions.
