The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) will have a strong presence at the NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, with 36 qualifiers participating in 15 events. The championship is set to commence on Thursday at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
According to selections released by the NCAA last Friday, qualifying marks from March 1 to May 16 were taken into account. Elmhurst, Augustana, and Carthage are leading with seven entries each. Notably, Elmhurst's team will compete as the top-seeded 4x100 relay team.
The CCIW has secured multiple entries in 12 events, including four athletes among the top ten seeds for the 200 meter dash. Additionally, there are four competitors from the CCIW in both discus and shot put categories.
The championship event will conclude on Saturday in Geneva.
