The Senior Expo 2023, scheduled for September 7, will be held at the Clauss Rec Center in the Roselle Park District. The event will feature Representative Jennifer Sanalitro and will provide attendees with valuable information on utility savings, financial planning, and I-cash, among other topics. Additionally, various health screenings will be available, including cholesterol and blood pressure checks, flu shots, and prescription pill collection.
Senator Lewis expressed his enthusiasm for hosting these events, stating that he is delighted to provide seniors in the area with resources to improve their health and wellbeing. He encouraged all seniors to attend the free expo and take advantage of the healthcare screenings and services offered.
On September 13, Senator Lewis and Representative Amy Grant will co-host another senior health fair at the Wheaton Community Center. This event will feature over 40 vendors who will provide health screenings and information about programs and services available to senior citizens. The fair is open to the public free of charge and aims to support the wellbeing of seniors in the community.
Senator Seth Lewis has been serving as a State Senator since January 2023, following two years in the House of Representatives. He holds a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Iowa and is currently a small business owner and agent with State Farm Insurance.
