Wheaton College secured its 17th overall and second consecutive College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois. The team placed six runners among the top 15, finishing with 38 points to claim the 2025 title. Elmhurst and Illinois Wesleyan tied for second with 92 points each, while Augustana finished fourth with 106.
Illinois Wesleyan senior Adriana Crabtree won the individual race with a time of 21:05.1, equaling the fastest winning mark in CCIW Championship history. Kathleen Brice of Elmhurst previously set that time in her 2003 victory at Montrose Harbor in Chicago. Crabtree’s performance led her team, which had four runners place in the top 25.
Sophomore Abby Rickard was Wheaton's top finisher, coming in second at 22:34.2. Other key finishers for Wheaton included Elizabeth LaBrin (7th), Louisa Brorson (8th), Clodagh O’Bryant (12th), and Lily Lebo (13th).
Elmhurst senior Molly Roberts took third place overall and received the CCIW Elite 26 Award, recognizing her as the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average among All-CCIW First Team honorees.
North Park freshman Marley Gandee was named CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Meet after placing fourth in her debut season.
Following their championship win, Wheaton’s coaching staff earned recognition as CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year.

All-CCIW First Team selections featured athletes from Augustana, Carthage, Elmhurst, Illinois Wesleyan, Millikin, North Park, and Wheaton. Second Team honors were also awarded across several schools.
RESPECT Awards were presented to student-athletes from each participating institution for their sportsmanship and character.
