Q1 2022 Recap: 2 parolees from Dupage County convicted of sex crimes set for release

There were two offenders convicted of sex crimes living in Dupage County released on parole during the first quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows both of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for sex crimes was 43. The younger parolee was a 30-year-old man sentenced in 2021, and the oldest was a 55-year-old man sentenced in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was David R. Foust. He was convicted in 2016 when he was 48 years old. He is now 55.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of sex crimes were paroled during the first quarter of 2022 in each Illinois county.
