Dupage Policy Journal

There were 42 offenders living in Dupage County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows 39 men and three women were released in Dupage County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2021, and the oldest was a 65-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2022.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Henry Ealy. He was convicted of homicide in 2000 when he was 25 years old. He is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
