Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in DuPage County?

There were 65 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in DuPage County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that 60 men and five women were released in DuPage County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Bruce Fancher. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2010 when he was 24 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each DuPage County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
