Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in DuPage County?

There were 73 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in DuPage County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that 65 men and eight women were released in DuPage County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 65-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jamie Munson. He was convicted of homicide in 1998 when he was 29 years old. He is now 51.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each DuPage County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
