A. TE-P-0044-19 Recommendation for the approval of a contract to Park Place Technologies, LLC, for Data Center maintenance for post-warranty support on server equipment, for Information Technology. This contract covers the period of March 1, 2019 through February 29, 2020, for a contract total amount of $31,796.72. Exempt from bidding per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 "Competitive Bids" (d) IT/Telecom purchases under $35,000.00. Park Place is a trusted vendor and has been performing post-warranty repairs for the Information Technology Department, WorkNet DuPage, and Sheriff’s Office for four years. The intent is to bid this contract in FY 2020.
B. 2019-38 Recommendation for the approval of a contract to Beyond Trust Corporation, for the annual maintenance of RED IM Software, for Information Technology. This contract covers the period of April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020, for a contract total amount of $5,857.00. Exempt from bidding per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 "Competitive Bids" (d) IT/Telecom purchases under $35,000.00. RED IM is proprietary software from Beyond Trust Corporation, therefore support is only offered by this vendor.
C. 2019-39 Recommendation for the approval of a contract to dcVAST Inc., for professional services to assist with performing a health check on the old Netbackup environment and to assist with setting up the Bare Metal Recovery for the new Netbackup software, for Information Technology. This contract covers the period of December 1, 2018 through June 1, 2019, for a contract total amount of $9,600.00. Exempt from bidding per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 "Competitive Bids" (d) IT/T elecom purchases under $35,000.00. dcVAST Inc. is a local firm and is a Premier Partner of Veritas, provider of Netbackup software. They have expertise in all versions of Netbackup.
D. 2019-40 Recommendation for the approval of a contract to Insight Public Sector Inc., for the purchase of a subscription for KnowBe4's Security Awareness Training platform, for Information Technology. This contract covers the period of January 11, 2019 through January 11, 2020, for a contract total amount of $17,974.00. Contract pursuant to the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act U.S. Communities contract #4400006644 cooperative purchasing agreement pricing, in compliance with 30 ILCS 525/2 "Governmental Joint Purchasing Act". While this procurement is being made utilizing the above U.S. Communities contract, additional quotes were obtained to ensure that this contract was providing the lowest cost.
