Jan.-June 2018 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 60187 convicted of property crimes
There were 10 offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole near Illinois zip code 60187 during the first half of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that nine men and one woman were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for property crimes, two were veterans, and the median age was 44. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2016, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced in 2018.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was John Signorile. He was convicted of a property crime in 2015 when he was 41 years old. He is now 43.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
