CITY OF WEST CHICAGO: Position Announcement – Public Works Maintenance Worker I

City of West Chicago issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.

This position performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in construction, maintenance & service activities related to water distribution systems, sanitary sewers, sanitary lift stations, streets, grounds, & facility management. Exp. w/inspection and maintenance of City Buildings, Lighting and Equipment preferred. HVAC and electrical experience also preferred with HVAC certification a plus. Candidates must be 18 years of age, high school graduate or equivalent. Starting Salary is $46,976. A Valid Class B CDL Driver’s License with a Tanker Endorsement and without an Air Brakes Restriction shall be required within 6 mos. of hire date; at time of hire is pref.
