2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in West Chicago?
There were 14 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in West Chicago zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that 12 men and two women were released in West Chicago. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jason M. Dulceak. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2007 when he was 30 years old. He is now 42.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
