Westmont recorded 10 licensed child care providers in 2025
Westmont was home to 10 licensed child care providers in 2025, according to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
Among these, six were day care centers (60%), three were group day care homes (30%), and one operated as a family child care home (10%).
Child care providers in Westmont serve infants through children up to age 12, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
All child care services in Westmont are provided in English at these licensed facilities.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has suspended certain federal child care and family assistance grants for California, Colorado, Minnesota, New York and Illinois due to fraud and misuse concerns, the agency said Jan. 6. The freeze affects nearly $2.4 billion in Child Care and Development Fund grants, $7.35 billion in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families awards and $869 million in Social Services Block Grants, requiring the states to submit documentation before funds are distributed.
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker condemned the move as “wrong and cruel”, stating the state may seek to challenge the decision and has already established anti-fraud measures.
According to the Illinois administration, the funding freeze could impact about 100,000 families and over 152,000 children receiving benefits through the state’s Child Care Assistance Program, in addition to funding for thousands of licensed child care providers and 275 human service organizations.
