Millikin University junior guard Lane Thomann has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement was made Tuesday morning.

Thomann, who is from Mackinaw, Illinois, played a key role in Millikin's 71-55 win over Monmouth in their season opener last Saturday. He scored 28 points, making eight out of 15 shots from the field. Thomann also hit four out of five three-point attempts and was successful on all eight free throws he took. In addition to his scoring, he contributed nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal during his 38 minutes on the court.
