The Westmont High School Choir will introduce a new event to the annual Holly Days festivities this year. Choir Director Brett Urlaub announced that instead of their usual participation, the choir will host a community Christmas carol sing-along on December 6 at 4:30 p.m. at Addington Plaza, next to the train station on West Quincy Street.

“The Westmont High School Choir has been part of the Westmont Holly Days Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony for years, but we’re going to try something new this year,” Urlaub said. “At 4:30 p.m., we invite the entire community to join us at the train station plaza for a community Christmas carols sing-along.”

Details about song selections and access to lyrics and music will be made available before the event. Urlaub added, “This will be a great way for everyone to get into the Christmas spirit - we hope you can make it!”

The Holly Days Parade is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., immediately after the sing-along, followed by the tree lighting ceremony at Addington Plaza. Afterward, attendees are welcome to take photos with Santa inside the train station. Further information about the Holly Days Festival can be found at hollydaysfestival.com.
