Village of Westmont offices will be closed to the public on several dates between November 2025 and February 2026. The closures affect both municipal operations and waste collection schedules.
On November 27 and 28, all Village offices will be closed. Regular business hours resume December 1. There will be no recycling or garbage collection on November 27; pickups for the rest of the week will occur one day later than usual, with the last pickup on Saturday, November 29.
For December, offices close on December 24 and 25, reopening December 26. No recycling or garbage collection will take place on December 25. The remainder of that week’s collections will also shift by one day, ending with Saturday, December 27.
On January 1, 2026, Village offices are closed for New Year’s Day and reopen January 2. Waste collection is delayed by one day for the rest of that week, with final pickups on Saturday, January 3.
Offices are also closed January 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and February 16 for Presidents Day. In both cases, regular business hours resume the following day and recycling and waste hauling services remain unaffected.
Residents can make bill payments during office closures through several methods: online via the village website using the MAKE A PAYMENT icon; by phone at the main number (630-981-6220); or by using after-hours drop boxes located near Quincy and Grant streets or at the Westmont Police Department at 500 N. Cass Avenue. Payments left in drop boxes are processed on the next business day.
The Village advises residents to call 9-1-1 in emergencies. For urgent matters related to Police, Fire, or Public Works when offices are closed but it is not an emergency, residents should call the Westmont Police Department non-emergency number at 630-981-6300 and press nine.
