The Village of Glen Ellyn has started an independent review to assess possible renovations for its fire stations, focusing on Fire Station 62 located at 681 Taft Avenue. The initiative is being carried out in partnership with the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company.

The evaluation is being led by 845 Design Group and aims to determine how the station can continue to meet the community’s emergency response needs over the long term. According to officials, neighborhood engagement will be a central part of the process.

Residents are encouraged to participate in an informal listening session scheduled for Monday, November 17, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the corner of Kingsbrook Glen and Taft Avenue. Village staff and members of the project team will be present to provide information and collect feedback from attendees.

Community members who cannot attend the session have the option to share their input by contacting Vic Sabaliauskas at (630) 547-5209 or via email at vsabaliauskas@glenellyn.org.
