Illinois Wesleyan University's women's basketball team has been ranked 10th in the preseason D3hoops.com poll. The Titans, who are the defending champions of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW), were also placed 13th in the preseason rankings released by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

In the D3hoops.com poll, Illinois Wesleyan received 307 points. The WBCA coaches’ ballot gave them 97 points. Last season, Illinois Wesleyan had a record of 28 wins and two losses and reached the Sweet 16 round in the NCAA Tournament.

New York University was ranked first in both polls following an undefeated season with a record of 31-0.
