At a Village Board Meeting on October 30, 2025, the Village of Westmont acknowledged Michael Kwasek for his 35 years of work in the Public Works Department. Amy Ries, Public Works Director, and Melissa Brendle, Public Works Supervisor, expressed their appreciation for Kwasek’s service and highlighted key moments from his career.

Kwasek began working with the Public Works Department in 1986 as a seasonal employee in the Water Division. He then worked seasonally in the sign shop while attending college. In 1990, he became a full-time staff member responsible for maintenance at the train station and plaza. Later, he joined the streets and alley crew, where he served for over 15 years.

The Village of Westmont extended its congratulations to Michael Kwasek and thanked him for his contributions to the community. Photos from the recognition event are available in the photo gallery on the Village website.
