DuPage County taxpayers give $10,711 in DuPage Water Commission Sales Tax in January

DuPage County taxpayers paid $10,711 in DuPage Water Commission Sales Tax in January, according to Illinois tax records.

This figure marks a significant increase from the previous month, where DuPage Water Commission Sales Tax collection stood at $2,883.

Over the past 12 months, DuPage County's residents have collectively paid a total of $24,736 in DuPage Water Commission Sales Tax.

The DuPage Water Commission Sales Tax, a crucial revenue stream, is primarily allocated for other taxing jurisdictions use.

Despite fluctuations in tax collection, Illinois continues to be one of the highest-taxed states in the U.S. According to a Wallet Hub study from March 2023, the state ranked as having the highest tax burden, approximately 39.83% above the national average.
