State Senator Seth Lewis is set to host a free job fair aimed at helping youths aged 16-21 find career opportunities. The event, taking place on April 24 in Carol Stream, is co-hosted by State Representatives Amy Grant and Jennifer Sanalitro.

"Summer will be here before we know it, and high school and college students are eager to find summer opportunities that will help them grow and learn beneficial skills," said Lewis. The job fair aims to provide students with work experience that would be beneficial for "college applications, resumes, and future job applications."

The event will be held at the Carol Stream Park District, offering a platform for businesses in the area to promote summer work, year-round employment, and internships. According to Lewis, participants should "dress for success and be prepared for on-site interviews" to make the most of the opportunity not only to apply for jobs but also to "network with other businesses to boost visibility in the region."

Those interested in the remaining opportunities for businesses to feature at the event are directed to contact Abby at amccarthy@sgop.ilga.gov. Questions can also be directed to Abby or by calling Senator Lewis' office.
