Rep. Sean Casten, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 6th district since 2019, shared his perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets. Casten, born in Dublin, Ireland in 1971 and currently residing in Downers Grove, has been vocal about political matters during his tenure.

On March 6, 2025, Rep. Sean Casten addressed the American public regarding President Trump's recent address. He stated: "President Trump lied to the American people during his address on Tuesday night. Here’s the truth: https://t.co/25ZpnU5IqP"

Later that day, Casten commented on environmental policy and regulation: "You can change the laws of the United States, but you can't change the laws of nature. Limiting the EPA's ability to regulate greenhouse gas emissions would have lasting and devastating impacts on our planet."

In another tweet posted on March 6, 2025, Rep. Casten discussed an amendment he proposed concerning data privacy: "Yesterday, my Republican colleagues on the House Financial Services Committee repeatedly attacked my amendment to stop Elon Musk's illegal access to Americans' private data. They didn't attack the policy substance of my amendment but railed against it as partisan."
