On March 5, 2025, Congressman Foster criticized former President Donald Trump's stance on free speech. He remarked that "Bringing back 'free speech'? Trump kicked out the Associated Press from the White House and threatened to jail college protestors he disagrees with."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Foster commented on rising consumer costs, particularly the price of eggs. He attributed this to Trump's trade policies: "The cost of eggs continue to rise. Trump has done nothing to change that. His reckless tariffs and trade wars will make produce across the board more expensive. Hardworking Americans will foot the bill of his disastrous policies."

Additionally, Foster addressed recent actions by Elon Musk in a tweet dated March 5, 2025. He accused Musk of firing federal workers for personal gain: "Elon Musk and his DOGE minions have fired thousands of federal workers, many of whom are veterans. Musk is an unchecked, unelected billionaire that has taken over the White House so he can promote his own business ventures."
