Elmhurst sophomore Kristin Bukata has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. This marks her second time receiving the honor this season, making her the first repeat honoree in the league for this year.

Bukata played every minute in two recent wins for Elmhurst University, averaging 18.5 points, 7.5 assists, and 6.5 rebounds. These performances helped the Bluejays achieve an 8-8 league record and secure a spot in the CCIW Tournament.

In a game against Carthage last Wednesday, Bukata scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and provided three assists without committing any turnovers during her full 40 minutes on the court. The team won that match with a score of 75-68.

On Saturday, Bukata led Elmhurst to a victory over Carroll in overtime with a score of 93-88. During this game, she played for 45 minutes and contributed significantly by scoring 19 points, assisting 12 times, and securing six rebounds.
