Senator Seth Lewis is urging community members to participate in his "Valentines for Seniors" program, with the deadline for submissions approaching on February 7. This initiative, now in its third year, encourages people to send cards and drawings to local seniors. Contributions can be mailed or dropped off at Lewis's district office in Carol Stream or sent by mail to a designated PO Box in Bartlett.

Lewis has also filed several bills as part of his legislative agenda for 2025. Among these are Senate Bill 54, which aims to improve vote-by-mail ballot counting processes; Senate Bill 233, addressing fentanyl possession penalties; and Senate Bill 234, which increases protections for victims of domestic violence. Other bills focus on safety measures for special investigators and updates to the Illinois criminal code.

In addition to these bills, Lewis has introduced resolutions highlighting various issues and occasions. These include recognizing Court Reporting and Captioning Week, Hindu American Heritage Month, Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and Civilian Law Enforcement Personnel Week.

Lewis has co-sponsored Senate Bill 91, a bipartisan effort targeting discriminatory practices against older drivers. The bill proposes changes to license renewal requirements for drivers aged 79 and above.

During the recent Lame Duck Session of the Legislature, Lewis spoke against House Bill 2547. He argued that while it aimed to protect workers, its broad scope could negatively impact over 750,000 small businesses in Illinois.

To better serve constituents, Lewis has added a "Constituent Casework" tab on his website. This feature allows residents of the 24th District to seek assistance with state agencies on various issues such as unemployment claims and Medicaid issues.

At the Illinois Association of Park Districts' annual convention in Chicago, Lewis congratulated local officials who received state recognitions. Mike Benard from Wheaton Park District was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Frank Saverino Jr. from Bloomingdale Park District received the Rising Star Award.
