Illinois lawmakers gather for lame duck session conclusion

Lawmakers reconvened in Springfield on Saturday to wrap up the 103rd General Assembly. This period is referred to as a "Lame Duck" session because it represents the final voting opportunities for legislators in their current terms before the new general assembly is inaugurated on January 8, 2025.
