Rep. Sean Casten, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 6th district since 2019, has been actively engaging with his constituents through social media. Born in Dublin, Ireland, and residing in Downers Grove, Casten uses his platform to address various issues and initiatives.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Casten announced a collaborative effort with Rep. Matsui to promote energy-efficient vehicles. He stated: "Consumers should benefit from purchasing vehicles that can go the extra mile. I teamed up with Rep. Matsui to incentivize the purchase of new vehicles with better-than-average energy performance."

The following day, on December 11, 2024, he offered assistance to those needing help with federal agencies: "Need help reaching a federal agency? My office may be able to help resolve a problem or get you the information you need."

Later that day, Rep. Casten addressed concerns regarding accountability within Congress. He criticized recent actions by House Republicans and Speaker Johnson's stance on ethical precedents: "As far back as 1987, the Ethics Committee has released reports on Members of Congress who resigned to avoid accountability... The integrity of the House is not moot."
