Congressman Bill Foster, representing Illinois' 11th district since 2013, recently shared his thoughts and acknowledgments on social media. The posts covered a range of topics from congressional hearings to acts of heroism within his community.

On December 4, 2024, Congressman Foster expressed gratitude towards Rep. Patrick McHenry during McHenry's last hearing as Chair of the House Financial Services Committee. He tweeted, "It's only right that we pulled out our bow ties in honor of Rep. McHenry's last hearing as Chair of the House @FinancialCmte. Thank you for your leadership, @PatrickMcHenry!"

Later that day, Foster took to social media again to commend Jaylen Lockhart, a USPS mail carrier in Aurora. On December 4, 2024, he wrote: "I’m proud to congratulate Jaylen Lockhart, a USPS mail carrier in Aurora, for his heroic actions in helping Guy Miller, a senior citizen who had fallen and injured his head while walking his dog."

In a follow-up tweet posted on the same date at nearly the same time, Congressman Foster highlighted the impact of Lockhart's actions by stating: "Thanks to Jaylen, Mr. Miller got the medical help he needed and was able to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family--and Jaylen! Thank you, Jaylen, for being a true hero!"
