Congressman Bill Foster, representing Illinois' 11th district since 2013, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various topics. His posts on November 21, 2024, covered travel safety during the holiday season and concerns regarding Matt Gaetz's potential appointment as Attorney General.
On November 21, 2024, Congressman Foster urged caution for travelers during the holiday season. He stated, "Please be safe as you travel this holiday season!"
Later that day, he expressed relief over Matt Gaetz not being appointed as Attorney General. Foster remarked on November 21, 2024: "I am relieved that Matt Gaetz won't be the next Attorney General, since anyone holding that position must not be vulnerable to coercion or blackmail. And, ethical and legal issues aside, it was a position he wasn’t remotely qualified for."
Continuing his comments on the same date regarding Gaetz's qualifications and ethical considerations, Foster emphasized transparency in governmental ethics investigations. He wrote: "It remains important that the Ethics Committee report be released to the American people in case ex-Rep. Gaetz pursues any other position of high public trust."
