State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) are collaborating with numerous agencies to host a Senior Expo on Tuesday, September 10 in Wheaton. The event, which offers free admission and refreshments, will take place at the Wheaton Community Center from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
“We are bringing together close to 40 agencies and organizations that specialize in the needs of seniors, and attendees will be able to collect useful information and learn about available resources while visiting the booths,” said Lewis. “We will also be offering free flu shots and blood pressure checks, so I would encourage all seniors and their families or caregivers to stop by this event.”
Participants include Aetna, AgeGuide, BrightStar Care Central DuPage (home health), CaptionCall, ComForCare Home Care (home health care), DuPage County Recorder, DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, DuPage County Veterans Assistance Commission, DuPage County Senior Services, DuPage County Senior Citizens Council/Meals on Wheels, Ensign Partners, Harmony Care Services, DuPage County Services-Long Term Care Ombudsman, Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Metropolitan Family Services, Molina Healthcare Inc., Office of the IL Attorney General, Office of the IL Comptroller, Office of the IL Secretary of State, Office of the IL Treasurer's office , PACE Bus Service , Prairie State Legal Services , Premier Medicare Benefits , Samaritan Senior Care , Spectrios Institute for Low Vision , United Insurance Services/Blue Cross Blue Shield Association , Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc., Wheaton Eye Clinic Ltd., Wheaton Park District , Wheaton Police Department , Wheaton Public Library , Peoples Resource Center , DuPage County Care Center (long term care center), and Meridian Health Plan.
