1 scam report filed in Winfield in June

Winfield recorded one scam report in June 2026, the Better Business Bureau said.

There were no scam reports listed for the city in the previous month.

BBB Scam Tracker lets consumers search reported scams and share their experiences to help others recognize similar schemes. The BBB says it reviews each report before publication and does not publicly display the reporter’s name or personal contact information.

Fraud reports have continued to cause large financial losses nationwide. The Federal Trade Commission said consumers reported losing more than $12.5 billion to fraud in 2024, a 25% increase from the previous year.
