State Representative Amy Grant recently made a statement regarding the House Republican Caucus's decision to place a unified “present” vote on the last-minute Election Omnibus bill (HB2412) brought forward by Illinois Democrats.

Grant expressed her concerns about the bill, stating, "I voted present on HB2412 because it is another example of the abuse Illinois politicians bring to our sacred legislative process within the Statehouse. The majority party should be ashamed of filing last-minute legislation that completely lacks transparency and wreaks of self-serving political corruption."

She further emphasized the need for legislative priorities to focus on keeping families healthy, neighborhoods safe, and taxes low, rather than serving partisan political agendas.

The statement comes in response to the controversial bill and highlights Grant's stance on the importance of transparency and accountability in the legislative process.
