City of Elmhurst City Council met Oct. 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Executive Session - Mayor Levin called Executive Session to order at 6:34pm.

1.1 Executive Session for the purpose of discussing: Collective Bargaining Negotiations pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/2; Setting a Price for Sale of Real Estate, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/5 (c)(6);Purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5); and Pending and Probable Litigation, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11)

Alderman moved Brennan to convene into executive session. Alderman Nardini seconded.

2. Call to Order - Mayor Levin called the regular city council meeting to order at 7:41pm.

3.1 Mayor Levin delivered the Proclamations and Recognitions of Elmhurst, Team USA, Volleyball Players; Ava Falduto, IC Catholic Prep & Abby Vander Wal - Timothy Christian School.

3.2 Oath of Office - Mayor Levin delivered the Oath of Office to Sergeant, Officer Alex Kefaloukos.

3.3 Illinois Tollway Authority presented a construction update.

Mayor Levin pulled items 7.1 and 7.2 from the consent agenda for further revisions. Alderman Hill moved to accept the consent agenda minus items 7.1 and 7.2. Alderman Bram seconded.

8. Reports and Recommendations of Appointed and Elected Officials

8.1 Mayor Levin - The Mayor announced that Elmhurst PD has been reaccredited another 4 years with Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. On the Mayor's statement from a few meetings ago, although he didn't agree with the result, he stated he shouldn't have said that the committee got it wrong and appreciates the process and work of the committee.

8.2 City Manager Grabowski - The City Manager announced the History Museum's latest exhibit is now open - Lost Chicagoland Department Stores. The Lions Club Pumpkin Patch is open at Wild Meadows Trace.

9. Other Business - None

10. Adjournment - Alderman Deuter moved to adjourn the meeting. Alderman Brennan seconded. A voice vote was taken. Motion passed unanimously.

Meeting adjourned at 8:39pm.
