The Hinsdale Public Library will host Senior Living Options from 7 to 8 p.m. The event will be presented by Mary Ferguson from The Birches in Clarendon Hills. Visitors will receive information about many options available for senior citizens' living arrangements, plus how to choose one that is best for you or a loved one. Topics will include criteria to determine what's best for you, deciding whether to stay in your home, and whether you can depend on family members for assistance in times of need. These vital concerns will be addressed as well as insight into factors that should be considered. RSVP by calling 630-986-1976. The Hinsdale Public Library is located at 20 E. Maple St. in Hinsdale.

Duck Race 2023 will take place between 10 and 11 a.m. You can enter to win $500 by purchasing a rubber duck from the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and watch it sprint down Spring Brook at St. James Farm Forest Preserve. Money raised goes toward protecting wildlife and restoring habitats in the forest preserves in DuPage County. The first-place winner will receive $500 cash, the second-place winner will receive two tickets to A Night for Nature, and the third-place winner will receive a nature-inspired gift basket. You can purchase rubber ducks at friends.dupageforest.org. The cost is $25 per duck or $100 for the whole family. Email fundraising@dupageforest.org if you have questions regarding partnership and philanthropy. St. James Farm Forest Preserve is located at 2S541 Winfield Road in Warrenville.
