Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Executive Session - Mayor Levin called executive session to order at 6:55pm

1.1 Executive Session for the Purpose of Discussing: Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the Public Body, pursuant to Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)Act 5 ILCS 120/2

Roll call

Present: Jennifer Veremis, Marti Deuter, Bob Dunn, Jacob Hill, Dannee Polomsky, Chris Jensen, Noel Talluto, Brian Cahill, James Nudera, Michael Honquest, Mark A. Mulliner, and Mike Brennan

Absent: Tina Park and Emily Bastedo

Also Present: Treasurer Curran, City Attorney Storino, City Manager Grabowski, and Assistant City Manager Kopp

Alderman Cahill moved to convene into executive session.  Alderman Polomsky seconded.

Ayes: Jennifer Veremis, Marti Deuter, Bob Dunn, Jacob Hill, Dannee Polomsky, Chris Jensen, Noel Talluto, Brian Cahill, James Nudera, Michael Honquest, Mark A. Mulliner, and Mike Brennan

2. Call to Order - Mayor Levin called the regular meeting of city council to order at 7:31pm.

4. Promotion Oath of Office - Mayor Levin delivered the Oath of Office to Lieutenant Steve Reynolds to Battalion Chief, Firefighter Andy Giarratano to Lieutenant, and Firefighter Dan Whelan to Lieutenant.

5. Receipt of Written Communication from the Public - Clerk Tamer read former Alderaman Kennedy's gratitude of service to Aldermen Polomsky, Dunn, Mulliner and Honquest.

Alderman Jensen pulled item 8.17 from the consent agenda.  Alderman Hill moved to accept the consent agenda minus item 8.17.  Alderman Honquest seconded.

8.17  Alderman Jensen pulled the item to vote present to avoid a potential conflict of interest.

9. Reports and Recommendations of Appointed and Elected Officials

  • Mayor Levin - The Mayor announced that Elmhurst was named Tree City USA from the Arbor Day Foundation
  • City Manager Grabowski - City Manager announced the strategic plan was approved tonight and staff will send updates to council as it progresses.  Vehicle stickers must be placed on all vehicles by May 1st.  Spring Clean up days are listed on the city website.  Prescription drop off is Saturday 4/22 at the police station from 10am-2pm.

 11. Adjournment - Alderman Mulliner moved to adjourn the meeting.  Alderman Dunn seconded.  A voice vote was taken.  Motion passed unanimously.
