There were 68 offenders living in Kane County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows 62 men and six women were released in Kane County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2021, and the oldest was a 66-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2021.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Bridget Ivanov. She was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2010 when she was 38 years old. She is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
