Q2 2022 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Dupage County?

There were 54 offenders living in Dupage County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows 51 men and three women were released in Dupage County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 33. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2022, and the oldest was a 71-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2021.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Steven Britton. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2009 when he was 28 years old. He is now 42.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
