City of Warrenville City Council met Nov. 7.

Mayor Brummel called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Mayor David Brummel, and Aldermen: Stu Aschauer, Clare Barry, Kathy Davolos, Leah Goodman, Jeff Krischel, Craig Kruckenberg, and Bill Weidner
Absent: Aldermen John Lockett

Mayor Brummel led the Pledge of Allegiance.
II. CITIZENS COMMENTS
Bob Siebert, Albright Court, commented on the effects inflation has on taxes.
II. OFFICIALS AND STAFF COMMENTS
A. Mayor
Mayor Brummel encouraged everyone to vote in Tuesday’s general election and, if anyone needed more information about the binding public question on the ballot, to check the City website or Facebook page. He also gave a reminder about the November 10, public hearing on the water tower and iron filtration projects. Lastly, he stated that the Veterans Day ceremony will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial.

Alderman Weidner made a motion, seconded by Alderman Davolos, to approve the agenda for the November 7, 2022, City Council regular meeting.

Alderman Weidner made a motion, seconded by Alderman Lockett, to approve the Consent Agenda items as read.

VII. REGULAR AGENDA
Alderman Goodman made a motion, seconded by Alderman Barry, to accept staff recommendation, waive second reading, and pass ordinance O2022-41, amending the Authorized Strength Ordinance to reflect the change in position title from Administrative Services Coordinator position to Human Resources Generalist.
Discussion: Assistant City Administrator Morgan explained that the title change would help to broaden the search for the most qualified candidate and would not change the salary.

Alderman Barry made a motion, seconded by Alderman Goodman, to enter into Closed Session at 7:18 p.m. to discuss the following:
● 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (21) Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under this Act, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06
● 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity.
● 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent.
