House Republican Majority has issued the following press release:

Bartlett, IL- Announcing he is hosting a FREE public safety & SAFE-T Act panel discussion and town hall meeting, Mayor Kevin Wallace invited the community to the Bartlett Public Library on Monday, Oct. 24 from 5:30-7 p.m.

“Bringing together local experts like Sheriff Mendrick and State Attorney Berlin, residents will have the opportunity to hear about current issues in public safety and receive information about the SAFE-T Act from those tasked with implementing these mandates locally,” said Wallace. “With crime and the coming changes from the SAFE-T Act dominating news headlines across Illinois, I felt it important that residents get firsthand information and understand the changes headed our way from Springfield.”

The event will be on Monday, October 24 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Bartlett Public Library, 800 S. Bartlett Road. The event is FREE to attend and provided as a public service.

As Bartlett’s mayor, Kevin Wallace has overseen projects of generational impact like the switch to a Lake Michigan water supply and the building of a new, state-of-the-art police facility.
