House Republican Majority has issued the following press release:

Bartlett, IL- Mayor Kevin Wallace announced endorsements today from all six nonpartisan elected trustees for the Village of Bartlett, a former trustee, and the elected Village Clerk.

“Kevin Wallace has moved Bartlett forward in a better direction. I have had the pleasure as a trustee to work side by side with him for eight years and I know as State Representative he will bring people together and help move our state in a positive direction,” said Trustee Adam Hopkins.

Trustees Raymond Deyne, Stephanie Gandsey, Dan Gunsteen, Adam Hopkins, Joe LaPorte, Renee Suwanski, Village Clerk Lorna Gilles, and former Trustee Aaron Reinke are all unanimously endorsing Mayor Kevin Wallace in his bid to be the next State Representative representing District 49 in the Illinois General Assembly in Springfield.

“Kevin has been a visionary leader for both the business community and the residents of Bartlett. He is fiscally responsible. He takes initiative to keep Bartlett growing and is attentive to residents’ needs and concerns. These qualities along with his commitment to keeping our community safe are the reasons he will make an effective leader as State Representative,” echoed Trustee Dan Gunsteen.

Trustee Renée Suwanski agreed, saying, “During his time as president, he has worked hard to position the Village for business-friendly economic growth, while maintaining its family-oriented, safe, small-town character.”

“His integrity, leadership, involvement, wise practical decisions, economic responsibility, truthfulness, and negotiating have unified our Village. What he has accomplished in his nine years as Village President for the Village of Bartlett is unprecedented,” Trustee Raymond Deyne stated, having served in Bartlett municipal office under six Village Presidents.

As Bartlett’s mayor, Wallace has overseen projects of generational impact like the switch to a Lake Michigan water supply and the building of a new, state-of-the-art police facility. His efforts to modernize the use of technology, increase efficiency and transparency of municipal services, and invigorate the development process have been hallmarks of his tenure in office. He also served as Chairman of the Executive Board for the Metro Mayors Caucus for 2021 and the DuPage County Mayors and Managers as a Board Member.

Kevin understands our state is facing challenging times. He is running for state representative in the 49th district to bring his strong financial background and positive, pro-growth record as mayor to Springfield.
