House Republican Majority has issued the following press release:

Glen Ellyn, IL- Announcing she is hosting a women’s clothing drive to benefit clients of Poised for Success, Stefanie Hood, candidate for State Representative in the 42nd House District, takes a hands-on approach to help women and families succeed.

"Poised for Success is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide beautiful interview and business-appropriate attire at no cost to women who are on assistance and in the job market. Whether it’s a veteran having served our country and transitioning to the civilian workforce, a domestic violence survivor, or a single mom. They share a desire to be self-sufficient and financially independent through employment."

Suggested items suitable for donation include new or gently-used dresses, suits, skirts and pants, blazers and blouses, shoes and boots, jewelry and scarves, shapewear and slips, and more. Donated clothing must be clean, on hangers, and ready to wear for Poised for Success clients. Bags and boxes of clothing will not be accepted by the organization.

Poised for Success believes when you have confidence in what you’re wearing, you remind yourself that you possess so many more qualities than you realize and believe that anything is possible, and that confidence takes you right into the interview. They believe everyone deserves to have all the confidence, empowerment, and independence that comes from the feeling of being in the right clothes.  It doesn’t belong to a certain size, body type, age, race, or anything else.

To arrange for pickup by Stefanie between September 1-14, please e-mail hood4house@gmail.com.
