DuPage County Technology Committee met May 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. CALL TO ORDER

7:30 AM meeting was called to order by Chair Ashley Selmon at 7:30 AM.

2. ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Adams, Berlin, Carrier, Chavez, DiCianni (7:33 AM), Eckhoff, Hart, Henry, Mendrick, Rutledge, Selmon, White

ABSENT:

Kevin Vaske was present as a representative for Candice Adams, Clerk of the Circuit Court. Conor McCarthy was present as a representative for Bob Berlin, State's Attorney. Anthony Manzzullo was present as a representative for Kathleen Carrier, County Recorder. Jason Snow was present as a representative for James Mendrick, County Sheriff.

6. PROCUREMENT REQUISITIONS

A. TE-P-0162-22 Recommendation for the approval of a contract purchase order to AT&T, to provide a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for the lower level of the 503 Building, for Information Technology. This contract covers the period of May 15, 2022 through November 30, 2022, for a contract total amount of $82,000. Exempt from bidding per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 "Competitive Bids" (c) not suitable for competitive bids - Sole Source. (ARPA Item)

Mr. Manzzullo asked if AT&T was the vendor that was used to do the previous installs to which Anthony McPhearson, CIO, responded yes. Mr. Manzzullo then asked if we know what the third-party provided items are in this contract. Wendi Wagner, Deputy CIO, said it would be the equipment that AT&T sources through third parties, such as the antennas. Member Rutledge then asked if we rent those. Ms. Wagner said no, we purchase that equipment.

RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

B. 2022-50 Recommendation for the approval of a contract purchase order to Altair Engineering, Inc., for Monarch data analytic software and training for the Auditor's Office, for Information Technology. This contract covers the period of May 11, 2022 through May 10, 2025, for a contract total amount of $22,220.85. Exempt from bidding per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 “Competitive Bids” (d) IT/Telecom purchases under $35,000.

Member White said his office is very excited about this because it is the upgraded version of the software purchased in 2008.

RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

This contract covers the period of May 11, 2022 through May 10, 2023, for a contract total amount of $22,200. Exempt from bidding per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 “Competitive Bids” (d) IT/Telecom purchases under $35,000. (ARPA Item)
