DuPage County Technology Committee met Jan. 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. CALL TO ORDER

7:30 AM meeting was called to order by Chair Ashley Selmon at 7:30 AM.

2. ROLL CALL

Motion to allow remote attendance for Member DiCianni.

6. BUDGET TRANSFERS

A. Budget Transfers -- Budget adjustment total amount of $35,503; $10,815 from 1100- 2900-53610 (Instruction & Schooling) and $24,688 from 1100-2900-53806 (Software Licenses) for the following: $2,955 to 1100-2900-50000 (Regular Salaries); $7,625 to 1100-2900-51000 (Benefit Payments); $8,207 to 1100-2900-51010 (Employer Share I.M.R.F.); $2,178 to 1100-2900-51030 (Employer Share Social Security); $9,196 to 1100-2900-51040 (Employee Med & Hosp Insurance); and $5,342 to 1100-2900-53807 (Software Maintenance Agreements) to cover the cost of unbudgeted COLA increases for GIS staff, benefits for a GIS employee who retired, and an increase in software maintenance costs, to close out FY2021.

7. PROCUREMENT REQUISITIONS

A. TE-P-0051-22 Recommendation for the approval of a contract to SHI International Corp., for the procurement of hardware and licensing of network equipment to expand the courthouse wireless system, for Information Technology, for a contract total amount of $92,758.42, per lowest responsible bid #21-107-IT, for the period of one year upon issuance of licensing. (ARPA ITEM)

CIO Anthony McPhearson commented that this procurement is related to ARPA and is for cellular access in the 505 building. He stated that staff originally projected a budget of $130,000 for this project but it came in under at $92,758.

8. IT PROJECT UPDATES

Mr. McPhearson reminded the committee that he will present IT project updates to them periodically. He said the IT department currently has over 50 projects lined up, noting that a large amount of them are operational while there are some that are enterprise-related that effect either the entire County or specific groups of departments and or elected officials. He said the larger projects are the ones for which he will provide updates to the committee.
