Analysis: Lombard pays $5.43 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lombard Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.2 percent of the $4,288,408 the Lombard Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.43 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lombard contributed $3,611,517 to the fund, which saw a $483,076 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $663,899, or 15.5 percent, in 2018. Another $12,992 came from other unspecified sources.
