10. DISCUSSION

A. 2020 Strategic Initiatives

Director Snyder provided a brief overview of each of the five Strategic Initiatives for the Division of Transportation for 2020. Development of a Long Range Transportation Plan; Impact Fee Ordinance Update; Highway Access Permitting Ordinance Update; Development of a Southwest Campus Master Plan; and Implementation of a Business Enterprise System. The Committee concurred with the recommended 2020 Strategic Initiatives.

12. OLD BUSINESS

A. 1901 Property: Discuss Declaration of Surplus Property & Sale

Director Snyder updated the Committee on the 1901 property near the intersection of Naperville Road and Warrenville Road. The property was purchased by the County in 2001 to accommodate a new interchange. The interchange improvement concept was changed and the need for the property no longer exists. The Committee discussed options to work with the Tollway and/or declare the property as surplus and sell the property. The last appraisal was done in 2018. The Committee asked the DOT to update the appraisal to reflect current market conditions and present for further discussion at a future meeting.
